ITV1 Astra Transponders

Viewers to any Sky Digital satellite television package in the United Kingdom will automatically receive their local version of ITV1 on channel 103.  However, all the other main regions and many of the sub-regions are also available from the Astra satellite, but need to be manually tuned in to be received.

Manual tuning is performed by pressing "Services" on the Sky Digital remote control, followed by 4 for "System Setup" and then 4 again for "Add Channels".  The Frequency, Polarisation, Symbol Rate and FEC (Forward Error Correction) should then be entered from the list below, for the region required, "Find Channels" should be highlighted and "Select" then pressed.  The channel(s) required should then be highlighted and the yellow button pressed to add each of them.  "Select" should finally be pressed again to store the channel(s).

To view the stored channel(s), again press "Services" on the remote, followed by 6 for "Other Channels".  Then highlight the required channel and press "Select".

Transponder: ITV-2 Astra-53,  Frequency: 10.891Ghz,
Polarisation: Horizontal, Symbol Rate: 22.0, FEC: 5/6.

Current Regions: Border Scotland, Meridian South, Meridian South-East, Meridian East, Meridian North, Yorkshire West, Yorkshire East.

Transponder: ITV-3 Astra-54,  Frequency: 10.906Ghz,
Polarisation: Vertical, Symbol Rate: 22.0, FEC: 5/6.

Current Regions: Channel Islands, STV (North), STV (West), STV (East), UTV.

Additionally: ITV3, ITV3+1.

Transponder: ITV-4 Astra-41,  Frequency: 10.714Ghz,
Polarisation: Horizontal, Symbol Rate: 22.0, FEC: 5/6.

Current Regions: Anglia South, Anglia West, Tyne-Tees North, Tyne-Tees South, Central South-West.

Additionally: ITV2+1.

Transponder: ITV-5 Astra-44,  Frequency: 10.758Ghz,
Polarisation: Vertical, Symbol Rate: 22.0, FEC: 5/6.

Current Regions: London, Granada, Anglia East, Central West.

Additionally: ITV2, ITV4, CITV.
